Buskerfest Mississauga in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada ia one of several city summer festivals hosted by the village of Port Credit. In 2010, Buskerfest 5, the fifth annual busker festival, saw more stages and performers, and plans are underway for future fests. Matt James Buskerfest entertainment Port Credit Ontario 
Matt James from Australia performed at Buskerfest, near the entrance to Memorial Park on Lakeshore Road at the Credit River. Buskerfest celebrations rarely result in street closures, a testament to the planning of the sponsors and volunteers who make this festival a reality.

Dangerous Comedy David Cox NYC at Buskerfest Mississauga 
Dangerous Comedy performed by the talented and loquacious David Cox, from New York NY, shown here sans pants preparing to amaze the crowd gathered to watch him. Buskerfest performances are free, but all buskers have a polished speech just before their finale act to solicit donations.

Mississauga Buskerfest Performers Flame Oz 
Flame Oz was one of a half dozen buskerfest acts who came to Port Credit from Australia, taking advantage of summer in Canada to escape Winter in Australia. Flame Oz does a high energy dance act with, as you might expect, various props set aflame.

Kobbler Jay Buskerfest Favourite 
Kobbler Jay, a Canadan busker from Ontario, is billed as an eccentric juggler. Kobbler Jay juggles while walking on broken glass, or hot coals, or while balancing on a beam or see-saw plank. As any good busker can, his patter during hit performance is much of the fun for the audience.

Lurk AKA Martin Ewen The Stiltwalker from Hawaii in Port Credit ON 
Lurk (Martin Ewen) from Hawaii is another great audience favourite at Buskerfest. Children especially follow him as if he were the Pied Piper, dancing along with him and just generally delerious with excitement. See my short video of Lurk on YouTube

Alakazam Slides Through Hoops of all Kinds at Buskerfest Mississauga 
I took this photo of Alakazam on Elizabeth Street in Port Credit as he prepared to slip this toilet seat lid over his body. Buskers are usually anything BUT highbrow entertainment, so this prop was taken in stride by one and all.
Alakazam is another of the buskers who traveled from Australia to perform in Canada over the summertime.
This is only a small sampling of the talented buskers who performed in Mississauga for Buskerfest.
