Leura Gardens Resort Blue Mountains Australia
I'd booked Leura Gardens Resort in the Blue Mountains of Australia for a 4-day stay, traveling by train to Katoomba a few hours west of Sydney. Leura is the town / station just before Katoomba. From there, I went by taxi to the resort, about an $8 fare at the time. If you're driving, the hotel has free parking almost at your door.
If you're not driving, it's actually cheaper and easier to go direct to Katoomba, then buy a trolley tour pass good for multiple days and discounts to Jenolan Caves day trip. Be aware that the tour trolley and buses operate only until 5 p.m. Nightlife is little or none. The Blue Mountains resort towns shops close as early as 4 p.m. when the day trippers have gone back to Sydney. Leura Gardens and Fairmont resorts are stops on the one-way tour bus circuit of the Blue Mountains tour route.
Room at Leura Gardens Resort Blue Mountains Australia
This resort is on a sprawling property across from the golf course, and a few minutes walk to the Fairmont resort.
At the time of my visit, Leura Gardens had been sold and the new owners had not yet taken over.
Update: This hotel is now the Waldorf Leura Gardens Resort.
The only restaurant open at this time was the Breakfast cafe near the swimming pool, though a second restaurant was open on Friday and Saturday nights.
I found this out after I checked in. If you are driving (free parking near units), it's easy enough to go into Leura or Katoomba for meals.

Another view of room at Leura Gardens Resort Blue Mountains
The rooms were a good size, with a desk area and luggage rack, etc. and an iron and ironing board in the closet.
The shower and sink are separate from the toilet, each room with a window.
Like most hotel rooms in this part of Australia, floors were carpeted.
There was no bar or licenced area at the resort open over the four days of my visit. There was a free internet computer in the lobby.

In-room Coffee Making Bar Fridge area at Leura Gardens Resort
With no restaurant open once breakfast was done, I usually had lunch wherever I happened to be -- in Katoomba or Leura, or at Scenic World.
For dinner I could bring take-away from town, or have a light dinner of yogurt, fruit, cheese, etc, in the room.
You can hop off the trolley and tour buses in Katoomba near a Cole's grocery store and a liquor store, get some groceries etc and hop back on the next bus.
Just be sure to let your driver know that you will want a ride 'home'.
I also could have walked a few minutes to the Fairmont for dinner, but somehow I never did.
