There are hundreds of places to eat in Mississauga, spread over a wide geographic are. Since most people look for a general area in Mississauga, like 'near the lake', or Clarkson, or Square One Shopping Centre, I've listed these Mississauga restaurants by geographic area, starting from the  south, on Lakeshore in Port Credit, and going north to Meadowvale.

• Along Lakeshore Road in Port Credit -- Near the Lighthouse, try Girasole Mediterranean, and Waterside Inn Breakwater Restaurant (see hotel details for the Waterside Inn). Over at Hurontario, try TEN Restaurant and Wine Bar.
• Clarkson Lorne Park Labrys Cretan Cuisine, a unique fine dining Mississauga restaurant, Mediterranean diet, north of Lakeshore Road
• Dundas Street East The Open Cork, just west of Highway 427
• Dundas Street West Glenerin Inn, one block north of Dundas, on on Mississauga Road (serves Sunday Brunch)
• Hurontario (Hwy 10) and Hwy 401 Nirvana the Flavours of India is in north Mississauga, near Hurontario (Hwy 10) exit south of Highway 401
• Near Square One Burnhamthorpe-Hurontario On the Curve the first HIP restaurant

Here are a few of the places to eat in Mississauga posted on my travel blog. Several of them are family favorites that we go back to time and again. When a restaurant changes ownership or the quality of the food, I usually go back to the original post and update my review. • Osmow's Shawarma Located at Mississauga Road (Queen Street) and Thomas in the Streetsville area.

• Dim Sum at Sun Sun and here, at Sun Sun with pictures -- Located in the Mississauga Chinese Centre on Dundas near Cawthra.

• Dim Sum Happy Garden Located in the Streetsville - Credit Hills area at Eglinton and Creditview, east of Credit Valley Hospital.

• Gabriels Best Souvlaki in Mississauga - Located in north Streetsville - Meadowvale area at Mississauga Road and Erin Mills Pkwy, just south of Highway 401.

• Tremendous Chinese restaurant Located on Wolfedale south of Burnhamthorpe, a few blocks west of Square One

• Girasole Mediterranean Located just west of the lighthouse in Port Credit, on the north side of the road, across from a stone church. Parking (free) in lots on either side.
• Labrys Located on Lorne Park Road, which is roughly halfway between Mississauga Road and Southdown Road, in the Clarkson Lorne Park area. Go north on Lorne Park Rd. and look for Labrys -- a free-standing yellow one-storey building -- on the west side, just south of the GO train tracks. Free parking.
• TEN Restaurant and Wine Bar Located on the southwest corner of Lakeshore and Hurontario, in Port Credit. Underground and on-street parking. Watch the signs.
• The Open Cork Located on the north side of Dundas Street just west of Hwy 427. Free parking.
• Nirvana the Flavours of India Located just south of Highway 401, on the east side of Hurontario.
• Waterside Inn Breakwater Restaurant Located on Stavebank Road South, which, when you are driving west from Hurontario on Lakeshore, is the street (with a light) just before the Credit River bridge and lighthouse on Lakeshore in Port Credit. Breakwater is on the main floor of the multi-storey Waterside Inn on the east side of Stavebank. Parking at rear.
• Glenerin Inn This historic (see timeline) refurbished country inn at Mississauga Road north of Dundas, near the University of Toronto, Mississauga, serves Sunday Brunch, and is a popular weddings and meetings venue.
• On The Curve The Original HIP restaurant near Square One shopping mall..
